A Little Bit About Me
Let me begin by saying I'm a teacher by profession and find each day a rewarding and humbling experience especially working with refugees. My students' teach me much more than they realise!
I'm currently teaching in Saudi Arabia for a year. An experience in itself alhamdulillah.
In terms of my personality/character it's all subjective according to which lense one views someone with, so when asked by those around me, they say I am; compassionate especially towards animals (humans too, I'm not a hippy), disciplined and strive to get things done, give people the benefit of doubt and I really care about the problems the ummah faces locally and abroad.
I would also add that I'm simple down to earth and love my family, but cherish time to myself to reflect/contemplate.
I love an adventure, spontaneous things like climbing the Atlas Mountains (thrice) on a recent visit to Morroco, in my abayah too! I love nature just can't get enough of this beautiful world our creator has gifted us with.
I have a sense of humour, after all smiling is sunnah. :) and it keeps you from developing a hard heart!
I find chivalry has lost its place amongst the fast paced lifestyle we lead. In that regard modesty is also rare. Traits which serve well for husband and wife.
My interests stretch from walking (in the peaks when possible), cycling - on a back burner at present, but hoping to be helmet ready in the near future. I actively engage in community dawah and keep an eye on current affairs. I follow politics, not the usual kind.. blue, red or yellow. I'm inclined towards Islamic politics.
I wear the hijab (khimar and Jilbab) and I'm not fashion conscious in the western/eastern sense. This doesn't mean I don't dress well; simply not superficial or obsessed with labels or clothing. After all a white sheet is all you go with!
NB: I will try my utmost to respond to all messages. However, sometimes it may not be possible, so please forgive me. If I don't respond then take it I won't be pursuing matters. I make Du'ah Allah (swt) grants you success with your search.
What I Am Looking For
Looking for a spouse who doesn't settle for the status quo. Instead, basis his decisions from Quran and Sunnah, thus fulfilling the rights of everyone under his guardianship.
Kindly pls contact me if you respect/fit the following;
*no idle chit chat please stick to asking questions.
*I won't respond if you just request picture access.
*in the likelihood you're intimidated by someone who holds Islamic views.. (non-argumentative, may I add), then maybe I'm not the one.
*be kind and give due respect and consideration (like you would to any family member) and discuss with one sister at a time and avoid shopping for a 'BOGOF'.
*be honest and clear from the offset and remember we are accountable for misleading or hurting.
*Freemixing isn't permitted for Muslims so I'll be frank! Please don't contact me if you have female 'friends' and somehow think that it's acceptable to go out in groups or alone with them!
*share your picture as mine is available to view.
*I'm looking for someone who speaks English fluently.
Ps. I've got the travel bug and I'm trying to persuade dad/siblings/friends....to up sticks and join me on a 6mth trip exploring the Muslim world. I'm failing miserably! So, having a significant other half with the bug would be handy... not to mention it'll be one crazy adventure!
